Okay guys here is how "most" scrappers get hauling jobs, Posting on Craigslist. There is nothing wrong with this, it works. It only works if you are willing to settle for some of the jobs or a few jobs here and there. How to make Craigslist work even better.

I went through the last 4 days of post on Craigslist, searching the term "Scrap Metal Hauling" and "Appliance Recycling" and a few other search related terms all in Indianapolis Craigslist. What did I find. None and I repeat none had a website linked to the post. Craigslist email reply system sucks, placing your number gets you spam texts and so many people aren't into old school phone conversations.

1. Get A Website - Simple 5 page website with a contact us page. Post the contact page on Craigslist instead of your number or relying on Craigslist email reply system.
2. Get Some Business Cards - Vistaprint is dirt cheap. Also has other cheap promo/advertising materiel.

The website is the most important tool you need. The business card just ensures you keep the client afterwards.
